| | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | Just a heads up here. In the summer I put an "NOS" U joint in my 38 Master. I had everything apart a few months later because I was overhauling the motor. The U joint had considerable wear after less than 1000 miles. Looking at the joint closer I discovered that it was a knockoff part. Some of the metal was only half as thick as the real GM part. In addition there was no flat side on the spindles which the GM part has for lubrication. I am lucky that I took things apart for another reason and made the discovery. | | |
