Original plan was to do a complete frame-off on a 1950 Chevy Custom Deluxe, (friend had one years ago and I thought it would be cool to do). But the Mrs. said an older truck would be cooler. She won the argument. Bought a 1951 3100 5-window on January 2nd from a guy in north Arkansas that he had posted on Craigslist.

The plan is to get it be back exactly like it was when it drove off the showroom floor.

Engine is already at the machine shop and should have it assembled in the next couple of weeks.

What impresses me the most, is the basic simple design of everything on these trucks. Shame they didn't retain that through the years. Gonna be fun.

And, glad I found the Stovebolt site. Lots and lots of good info so far.
