My fault on the name. Kade is my 9 year old grandson. The truck will eventually be his, so that's where I decided on the 'kades51'. He's already decided that the color will be black.

I'm actually Mike Mitchell, from Raymond, Ms.

And I need to add to my original post, that I'm glad that we went with the truck, instead of the car. Confirmation that the wives may actually know better?

I raced oval track for 10 years, so the mechanic work and body work really don't bother me.

Guy I got the truck from said "Oh yea, the motor was running a couple of months ago', which was truth-fabrication. Head had spider web cracks in every combustion chamber. Block had already been bored and had a bunch of wear. But, I kind of expected some stretching of the truth.

However, a guy I do business with, has a 1953 3100, that he has hot-rodded, (Camaro clip, LS1 V-8, etc.), so he sold me the complete 216, with transmission, for little of nothing, just to get rid of it. He was going to haul it off for scrap. Head is good and the block is standard bore. I must be living right.
