3836233 = 1955-56 block - car or truck (mechanical lifters)
3835913 = 1954/55 head

could that be?

Most likely the codes near the starter area is:

CON 1 (not CONN) = Conveyor #1
and the Block date code:
B 3 55
B = 2 = February
3 = 3rd
55 = 1955 (is it one 5 or two 5s?)
