Yes, the 38 is a different animal. I have a 37 and the do share some of the same parts. The biggest difference in the 38 and the 49 is going to be the cab space. I had a 50 and then this 37. Wasn't no big deal back then as I was about 40 lbs lighter!!
There are quite a few guys here with 37/38/39 so be on the lookout for them. Check out the gallery pics and you can get some ideas of what folks are doing.
