The 2.5L in my 325i really propels that car, and it still gets 26 mpg. It's an overhead cam slant six with a crossflow head and port fuel injection with dual exhaust. I think it is an aluminum block and head, too. I wonder if there is a BMW head with the same bore spacing as a Chevy 6?
