BMW has taken the straight six and made art out of making it perform. The 2.5L in my 325i really propels that car, and it still gets 26 mpg. It's an overhead cam slant six with a crossflow head and port fuel injection with dual exhaust. I think it is an aluminum block and head, too. I wonder if there is a BMW head with the same bore spacing as a Chevy 6?
