It is definitely a WC T5 and the IS has 14 splines, so that means you have a V6 Camaro WC T5. That's good in my opinion. Every Camaro T5 I have ever seen has a cable speedo connection. Some of the models came with an adapter that converted the cable output to VSS. I have a few of those adapters laying around here in my shop. That T5 should have a 0.72 overdrive gear which is really great for a 3.73 rear.

In the video you are not really showing end play. The up and down play you show is because everything is apart and the rear main shaft bearing race is not quite seated. What you demonstrate in the video is NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

End play is what you have when you have the T5 all back together and then you pull and then push on the input shaft. It should be snug but not hard to turn by hand. If you have a dial indicator, you can actually measure end play, but it's fairly easy to get a feel for it.

As far as the Jeep shaft swap, YES, you can swap it and it should work just fine. HOWEVER, keep in mind that since it is a WC T5 then you should swap in a WC Jeep IS if you can get one. If you can only find a NWC Jeep shaft, that can work too, BUT BUT BUT . . . . the NWC Jeep shaft MUST be used with a brass synchro ring. Simply remove the fiber WC style synchro ring and then swap in a NWC Jeep IS with a brass synchro ring.

Did you notice that the V6 IS has splines that are cut almost the entire length of the shaft? That means you can use a 14 spline Astro clutch disc and don't even need to do the Jeep shaft swap if you don't want to. However, the Astro van clutch disc is rather difficult to find (so people tell me). If you do the Jeep shaft swap, you will be able to use a standard 10 spline clutch kit.

Also, notice that the bearing retainer on your V6 Camaro T5 is already cut to the proper length.

No matter if you do the Jeep shaft swap or keep the original V6 shaft, you will need to cut a little off the pilot tip to make the shaft the proper length so it doesn't bind inside the pilot bushing.
