Value is in the eye/mind of the beholder (in the eye/opinion of the owner/buyer - actually, the eye/opinion of a buyer).
If you are referring to the choice of color - there were many original color choices. And, the factory would paint it any color - as a special order.
Paint it whatever color you like. You will enjoy driving it and most people will enjoy looking at it - no matter what color you choose.
I choose to use original colors - I tell people, when asked about the colors: "it is not the original color used on this truck- but, it is an original 1954 truck color).
Do what makes you happy - do not worry about pleasing other people - you will never please everyone.
