The close tolerances can take a lot of the credit for the high
mileage that we're getting out of the new engines. Not unusual
to find cars well up into the 100's of thousand miles and close
to 200K and still running strong with very little oil usage.
Of course advances in cylinder and ring alloys have a little to
do with it also.
Lucky you are if you could get a Stovebolt to 60K or 70K without
a major overhaul.
