Guys, the retainer brackets are on both on the front and the back cross sills. Carl, you are correct, they are where the wooden blocks go. There is also a rubber pad, that sits under the wooden block on your frame. The middle cross sill just floats under your bed, to hold all the bed wood and bed strips in place. Hope that helps.
