Unless it has all new moving parts, new brakes and lines, fresh rebuilt engine, transmission, and rear end, it will not be an easy sell. It is expensive to make everything like new. Most people are going the other way, just as you are, in upgrading to after market chassis.
DO NOT scrap it! There are many out there looking for parts. I'm sure that you will soon hear from them.
