Assumeing you have a stomp start, run a wire from the + on the coil to the small terminal post on the starter switch that's on top of the starter motor. This wire back feeds the coil with full battery voltage when the engine is started.
Run a wire from the - on the coil to the distrubutor. The points are grounded and when they open and close they complete the circuit, no other ground wire is needed in this circuit.
