Make life simple, paint it with the correct factory color
for an AD engine, which is available only from The Filling
Station as Carl posted yesterday.
They were never primer before painting from the factory.
Here's Filling Station's Factory original shade gray paint
on a bare cast iron block and head and bare sheet metal
that is about five years old, and driven on regular basis.
She may not be the best dressed gal at the ball, but she still
turns a head or two:
