| | | | Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 47 1949 Beast | | 1949 Beast Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 47 | 49 chevy 3600 with a54 chevy engine. 6 volt system. Everything was working perfect until a generator went bad. Replaced the gen and polarized it before starting the engine. I am getting six volts at the battery and at the regulator. If I take a volt meter and ground it and touch the gen I get nothing. Take the same volt meter and ground it and touch the lead at the regulator I get six volts. Wiring new, grounds good, replaced all fuses but I cannot get a reading at the gen. Second generator as I thought the first one was defective | | |
