My Grandpa always said "Don't take any wooden nickels". I have NO idea, but I just use my 25-30# calibrated hand. But the specs are very handy to have for a really well done engine.
That is the WHOLE reason why I go strictly by the specs using my $9.95 Harbor Freight Torque Wrench! LOL!
