Have an "un-run" rebuilt 261 that had 5 stuck lifters and a bad #2 rod bearing.
Pulled head and kept going. Pulled engine, rods and everything else covered with a light brownish rust. Did a full tear down, cleaned everything up including a couple new rod bearings and all is now well. Ready to put it in and fire it up......and yes, the engine was sealed up to the point I thought it was pretty good...yeah right! | | |
