The "note" in the parts listing from Jim Carter, refers to the clip the end of the cable hooks into. The clip is attached to the lever on the rear brake shoe. Confusing, I know. But I don't think a length difference of 1/8th inch in the cable is a real issue. That clip only applies to Huck brakes, and that is why Jim Carter has it listed as a note. I wish I had taken pictures when I replaced the rear shoes in my truck. I did not. There is a procedure in the Shop Manual for adjusting the Lever to the cable.
