When I have never made a repair before I tend to think to much .
I went down to the local [ old established ] parts store and they had some of the old fittings in stock . That repair went good . The parts were so old that they were only .57 cents each also ...I even beat inflation today
As it turns out the leak was in the line to the external filter.
