Hy rautru, I didn't think you could get the tranny to come out with the engine because of the interference with the engine rear crossmember. Yes you can pull just the engine, if we're talking a V8 engine, leave the bellhousing to crossmember bolts in place, but remove the bellhousing to engine bolts and the inspection covers from the bottom of the bellhousing, then the engine should pull away from the bellhousing/transmission, you will have to support the rear of the transmission. If we're talking six cylinder engine, then unbolt the transmission from the engine and support it or remove it from the chassis, then you can remove just the engine, after removing all engine attachments, hope that helps.
