Ftyler; I think we talked cams once and found we are using the same one only mine is in a 250. The truck weighs 3280 with me in it, I had it up to the scales today. Its a '37 set at factory height meaning lots of wind resistance. 250 with turbo 350 and stock 6 cyl conveter. It seems pretty tight, not much stall speed at all. The rear axle is a 3.42 with 235/75 R 15 radials. On the street it runs great. Very smooth and able to pass with out down shifting. I really thought it would run quicker due to how it feels out on the road. It could be the tight quarters and wind noise that makes it feel fast.
The three caburators are most likely the problem, to small, only 80 cfm each. The Corvairs ran four with 190 ci or less. They really look good and run so good I not going to worry about it. The fuel milage is 19 on the road so thats good. I do have a 3.08 ring and pinion I am going to swap in. After that I may have to do some more engine tuning. Most of my driving is on the high way and at 70 mph, the rpm's are to high.
I was just curious if any body ever ran trucks or dyno'ed one. I have all winter to decide what to do to it. Since getting it together and logging 3000 miles I am ready for something to do. Maybe three model B's
