Yes, I would be concerned about that. There is no reason for the sides to be different. First thing I would suspect is a brake problem. Maybe you should take it for another shorter drive, check for the same thing and then if hot, jack it up and see if it is hard to turn. Actually, you might want to try that out before taking it out.
