Neat story and nice truck.
Scanned through your pics, your truck is in very good condition.
Some elbow grease, perhaps some rubbing compound or similar and you may be able to bring some of that color out alittle bit.
Even got a radio, that was quite an expensive option back in the day.
Do with it what you will but seeing how good a condition it's in, keeping it close to period correct will enhance it's value to you and others that follow behind.
Tain't hardly any mechanical thing better than tool'n around country/back roads in a Stovebolt
