As best I can recall it was a standard 12 volt resistor coil I think I got from JC and painted it black. John the truck has been finished for a a little over a year now but only has about 400 miles on it. It's just too nice to use the way it was meant to be used. I have decided that I enjoy the restoration process and using my trucks as they were intended more than creating a "trailer queen" and showing them at car shows. So I have decide to sell this truck and move on to my next project which is a 1950 Chevy 1/2 ton that I use in my beekeeping operation. I have a write-up that I have been meaning to send to you to get the truck in the gallery but just haven't gotten around to it. I cannot tell how much the contributors to this site aided in its restoration.
