I bought a reproduction hand crank from Jim Carter or Chev's of the 40's. The first time I used it I
smashed my fingers. Turns out the reproduction is for the smaller trucks, mine is a 4400 Loadmaster. I have started the motor with it, I just pay attention to my 'workable area'.
