Squeeze, I checked my 46 GMC pickup and the 41 Chevy dump and they appear to be welded to the seam as you said. So I went back to my COE and sure enough it is held on with screws. Maybe the COEs were different?? but then I checked Skip's 53 COE and it is welded on. Oh well, just need to figure out how I'm gonn get some replacements now.
