I am curious why they didn't just engineer the front axle at the correct castor angle and omit the angled shims. I few pennies per truck adds up to some serious cash when you are talking about millions of trucks. It sure would have saved me a lot of frustration trying to find where I left those buggers every time I take a front axle apart.
