G. Chavez. Bartamos is giving sound & very wise advice here. Unless the truck you currently have has some sentimental value you will be money and time ahead to simply go out and buy an old truck that has already been built the way you want it.

This is especially true if you are having someone else do the work, as you mentioned in your post.
