Hy dwightlightning, actually I have a lot of parts books and maintenance manuals, and my brain is covered with fly paper and sticky notes with facts about the 55B through 59 Canadian Chev and GMC trucks. Your truck may have been equipped with an R.P.O. (regular production option) with a larger set of springs and larger wheels and tires to increase the GVW. 16,000 lbs. is the base GVW for the next larger truck series the 16 series, and someone may have inadvertently installed the wrong GVW plate on the truck, I hope your not going to scrap that truck!
