Most rattle can primer is lacquer based, so when you get the body work done keep the truck out of the rain and in a dry place or you'll probably have rust showing again.
Thats the big problem is knowing what is compatible with their paint. The lacquer primer should be compatible.
Do you have a spray gun? I seen on another posting that you were going to buy some airtools, you might look at a siphon paint gun, seems like even the cheaper guns don't do to bad for primer/sealer type coatings.
