I am trying to complete my first ever restoration of my 1954 Chevy 3100 and the doors are a big problem. I regretfully threw away the original door hinges and I am having all kinds of problems getting the doors lined up with new replacement hinges. Also, I am now thinking the replacement weatherstripping is not helping. Does anyone know if I should try to find original hinges? Is there a better weatherstripping than what I got at the Truck Shop in Orange, CA? Thank you for your help.
