4d9r, it sounds like you got youself a pretty good deal and this compressor should handle all your needs. You will need to get a good air filter, regulator, quick disconnect, oiler and another quick disconnect. The reason for two quick disconnects is one before the oiler for painting and the second one after the oiler for lubing air tools. A 3/8" air hose should be sufficent to handle all your needs. I just set my compressor on 3/4" felt pads to reduce vibration and did not ancor it down and it does not move anywhere. The square D box should be the on/off switch and the air pressure cutoff regulator switch. I do not have a silencer on my compressor but it does have a small built on filter for the air intake.
