I have a 35 dollar old fashion gun I use for primer and a good gun for finishing only. The icky gun is great for primmer cause it just has to get on the surface runs, bugs, hair and all cause its just a filler. The good gun is a must for a finishing job. Most of the paint goes on to the surface (less over spray),and the spay patern is very good. The reasonI do this is I don't want to cross contaminate the two paints. I use the cheapy for sealer as well.Best of luck to you, if you use a paint type you can work with such as small repairs,(fly dying 6 inches arossed the hood before it stops) you will be better off.Enamel is more difficult to repair. I painted a fooo mustake with inexpensive acrilic urithane and beat the poo out of the front fender when the antana jumped onto the buffer. EZ repair and if you don't look close at the antana you would never know. O
