For over 50 years I swore by the old peep hole helmets and changed lens shades for different amperage. A friend of mine who has been using the same helmets for as long as I have recommended one of the Jackson Nexgen. Last week when Zoro had their 30% off day, I bought one of these.
http://www.zoro.com/i/G4019687/I am amazed by it. Welding light materials depends on what you do right after you strike the arc. Otherwise you burn a hole. I am amazed with the new helmet. I can see whats going on the second I strike the arc and that is a big factor when welding thin stuff.
