The 58 motor has the 848 heads and the early manifold I have does not fit the later head. So I have to use the angled manifold. No clearance issues for the steering box. The other 235 I have is a 52 truck motor.. the exhaust manifold is held on with bolts on the ends vs the 848 head that has locating dowels.
The 'local muffler shop' went out of business years ago. Since I have a good exhaust (except for the bend up to the manifold) I was hoping there was a place to just buy the right manifold flange and a short pipe section and weld it up.
