Carbking, Thank you. I am beginning to wonder whether I am having that situation. But I am not familiar with an 'anti stall throttle dashpot'. I have to check whether my timing light does dwell also. I think I will have to let my mechanic buddy read your post and see whether your idea is the one eluding us. I have no 1/2" spacer under the carb and I do not think I ever did, even when the truck ran great. Thank you.
