Glad to have been a help Bruce---for once! That was news to me
also, never knew the first of the breed were like that.
As we discussed the other day, why would they have changed the
design/tooling for the gauges after the first year???
Again, I think it was to guarantee that when they were slapped
in on the third shift production line for the next half dozen
years, there could be no mistake in the way it was clocked.
I'll bet a few of those first year GM cabs came off the
production line with the speedo or gauge set looking a
little cockeyed.
