You're preaching to the converted in my case Denny,that's what I used.
Generic after market Peel and Stick
bitumen panels ,followed by
double bubble insulation like Leo used to deal with any heat sink.
It makes the old jalopy a most agreeable place to be although I plan to add some more closed cell foam under the carpet to complete the soundproofing.
I couldn't justify (or afford) Dynamat.
I used two bitumen 'tiles' in each door,one on the outer skin and one on the inner under the regulator opening and reduced the drumming effect considerably,the roof is by far showing the the biggest improvement.
