If it's just the drumming that you want to eliminate then take a
lesson from modern day auto manufactures. All it takes is a
strip of something as inexpensive as Peel & Seal applied to the
center of the door skin or roof panel to kill the sound. Lot's
of the guys here have lined the entire inside of their trucks
with it as an inexpensive alternative to Dynamat or similar more
expensive products.
Leo, are you using that aluminized bubble wrap in the ceiling of
the pole buildings? My building was put up 30+ years ago and they
installed it by nailing it to the underside of the purlins.
Obviously it was installed after the building was roofed. I'm
heating a 42x45x12 side of my pole building with a wood stove
and that's all the insulation that's in the ceiling. It seems
to help some but sure ain't no R-30 and is isn't very
good as a sound deadener especially during a rain storm.
