The cable you bought looks like the one that goes from the pedal to the parking brake actuator shaft in the middle of the frame. That is where the hand brake cables from from each rear wheel attach and are pulled by the front cable.
The rear wheel cables attach to a lever on one of the brake shoes to move the brake shoes.
