Sharpening the tune of my '50 Half-ton pickup, which I've just gotten back on the road after pulling the head to free sticking intake valves. I set the valve lash hot with #1 at top center (I thought) with the flywheel BB at the pointer on #1 compression and exhaust. Now I learn that the BB is for setting ignition timing and may be up to 5 Degrees ahead or behind true TDC.
My flywheel shows raised radial lines, the BB, c/s and a triangle. What means what? The engine is not original but the SN makes it a '49 rebuild.
