I'd do a little more leg work. If your going to do the ring and pinion swap your going to have more invested than just the cost of a ring and pinion. Your going to need a pinion seal, crush sleeve, pinion nut, probably some shims, gasket and gear lube. Not saying your right or wrong but look at the whole picture and then do some more homework about a T-5 swap. Sometimes the difference in cost is less than you think at first. A little more planning and research goes farther than digging in fast....
