I've read that going too big on the rocker ratio causes valve overlap, loss of performance. 1.6 seems to be the magic number. I've seen radical gains in valve lash settings. I've also lost 1000rpm by running too small of air filter. I know i have a h.o. Motor but the principals still apply. Wolf I assume you have the factory 3:55 rearend and you said 3 speed earlier. What size tire are you running?
