Drove my 53 (235) in town yesterday. on the way home, noticed not driving right, hesitation. Then it just quit and I coasted into a driveway. Noticed no fuel in fuel filter (in line before carb). Would fire with starter fluid and then quit, not getting fuel. Towed home and took off fuel pump. Took top off pump but could not figure out anything by looking. If I push in the lever should I feel/hear anyting (air) coming out?
Bad thing about the whole thing - While sitting waiting for AAA, a 40 Ford PU drove by and honked at me. OUCH!
