Thanks everyone,MARTINSR thanks a bunch,that save me a trip to the library. I'll print that out and keep it. I picked up some cleaner at the hardware store and so far so good. The paint went on great and looks nice.
OldCarKook, I may have had 2 problems,not clean enough and the last time I did any painting it was summer and hot and I did put it in the sun to dry faster so not sure which one was my problem. I can tell you this it sure isn't hot here now..
