What is the part number for the carburetor linkage you bought from Landon?
Is this the set? That is not a progressive linkage.
Here is an example of a progressive linkage (for a dual carb set-up). I have never had a vapor lock problem on a 216/235/261 when fuel lines are run in/near the original locations above the head, outside the top edge of the valve cover. Your lines look like they are in/near original locations?
What parts of the engine do you have fuel-line clamps/clips attached to? Normally, the only clip touching an engine part is the one on the thermostat housing.
