can't really tell from that pic, but I believe the electrolock [armored cable from ign sw to coil terminal] was used up to '46, a ballast resistor would be mounted to the side of the coil, never seen one that was on the top .... might be an original coil, which did have a ceramic insulator around the secondary terminal read here, can't find a picture
