You could switch to a column shift column as another option, as these cabs don't have much room to begin with. I'm very glad I went the column shift route with my truck.
Depending on the shifter you go with will answer whether or not you need to reinforce the floor. In general I would say it won't be needed, but can't say for sure as I don't know if you're planning on running a 24" lever, in which case I might suggest reinforcement. | | |
