I also use the Lokar trans mounted, but not 100% happy with it. After 14 years of vibration, the cable inside rattles against the lever. Lokar suggested a couple of adjustments, but they didn't really help. A floor model will isolate any driveline vibration. Its still a vary good shifter, it has always work great, just a little noisy.
