My question, above, about the Newport (or any other) after-market electric-wiper working with a radio was directed to sfsutton.
The 1954/55 Chevrolet (not 54/55 GMC) truck's radio speaker is mounted on top of the radio, and the speaker interferes with the installation of aftermarket electric wipers. The original 54/55 GM 6v electric wiper does not interfere, but holes have to be drilled through the top of the dash.
47-53 radios' speakers are below the radio.
